Pine Lake 3

This residence is located on a deep site beautiful piece of lakefront property allowing for panoramic views of the long inland lake. Whenever a home is designed for a lot similar to this, being able to see the water from all of the primary spaces of the home is critical.
Therefore, the house was designed specifically for this site. Placement of the architectural structure was adapted so that the corners of the home were glass unimpeded by the home frame.
It was desired by the clients to use natural and regional materials for the facade of the home and that those materials flowed into the interior seamlessly. The home features six very prominent stone fireplaces housed in three masonry piers made of Wisconsin Fond Du Lac and Indiana Buff limestone. These are the same stones covering the exterior facade.
It was also desired to create a pool area that could be open all summer if desired. Therefore, the implementation of a Nana Door system gives the clients an indoor outdoor pool area and eliminated the running of equipment in summer months.
The residence is high design, yet still maintains a relaxed and casual atmosphere by using warm woods, and by incorporating various textures. Natural light is brought into the home using numerous skylights and glass. And extensive use of indirect and specialty lighting enhances each space.
