The Bloomfield House was designed as a modern bachelor’s residence with an indoor pool as the centerpiece. The marble floor in the living room transitions to glass allowing you to stand directly over the water below. The house is exquisite, and the unique experience it provides continues to prove unforgettable.

Our client wanted the main level to be ideal for entertaining and we considered every detail to be sure the space would be perfect.
– Lou DesRosiers, Principal Architect

With clean, horizontal lines, the exterior is constructed of Fond Du Lac and Indiana limestones, as well as red cedar with mahogany stripes. Inside, the great room features a 4-foot by 4-foot glass floor panel with a large glass table above to allow for views to the pool on the lower level. The walls are white oak, with one upholstered to control acoustics.

A staircase with marble treads, white oak stringers and glass railings leads down to the walkout lower level and the aforementioned pool, which is surrounded by glass on every side. By focusing on the client’s wishes, we created a house that is becoming as legendary as the parties it hosts.
